Privacy statement

CenQuip Pty Ltd  ·  The VET Expo 2026  ·  August 2026

This statement explains what personal information CenQuip Pty Ltd collects when you enter our competition at The VET Expo 2026 or use this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access it, correct it, stop marketing, or make a complaint.

The short version

  • Who collects it. CenQuip Pty Ltd (ABN 62 124 140 174), 26 Binney Rd, Kings Park NSW 2148, +61 2 9679 5733, info@cenquip.com.au.
  • Why. To run the prize draw and contact you if you win. If — and only if — you tick the optional marketing box, also to send you information about our veterinary equipment, offers and events.
  • What you must give us. Your name, email address, practice name and State are needed to enter. Everything else on the form is optional and you can enter without it.
  • Marketing is optional. You can enter the draw without agreeing to marketing, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Who else sees it. The providers who run our entry form, email and record systems, and the equipment manufacturers we represent where you have asked us about a specific product. We do not sell your information.
  • Overseas. Some of those providers store information outside Australia. See section 7.
  • Your rights. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to fix it, or complain. See section 10.

1. Who we are, and what this covers

CenQuip Pty Ltd (ABN 62 124 140 174) supplies and services veterinary equipment in Australia. In this statement, "we", "us" and "our" mean CenQuip Pty Ltd, of 26 Binney Rd, Kings Park NSW 2148.

This statement covers personal information we collect through this site and through our VET Expo 2026 competition and stand. Our main website, cenquip.com.au, carries our general website privacy policy; where the two differ in relation to the competition, this statement applies.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, and we handle marketing messages in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

2. What we collect

Through the competition entry form we collect:

Through our wider dealings with you we may also hold your business contact details, records of your enquiries, quotes, orders, deliveries, installations and service history, and correspondence between us.

When you use this site, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information such as the type of device and browser used and the pages requested. We use this only to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.

We do not seek sensitive information — such as health information, or information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions or memberships — and we ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you: when you complete our entry form, speak to us at our stand, email or phone us, or ask for a quote or a demonstration.

We may also collect it from a colleague at your practice who provides it on your behalf, or from publicly available business sources such as a practice's own website. If we collect personal information about you from someone other than you, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.

4. Why we collect it

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to:

If we ever want to use your information for a purpose you would not reasonably expect, we will ask you first unless the law allows or requires otherwise.

5. Marketing, and how to stop it

We will only send you marketing where you have consented to receive it, or where you are an existing customer and the message relates to products or services similar to those you have already dealt with us about.

Entering the competition does not sign you up for marketing. The marketing option on our entry form is separate, is not ticked by default, and is not a condition of entering.

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link that will keep working for at least 30 days after the message is sent. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@cenquip.com.au or calling +61 2 9679 5733. We will action your request within five business days and at no cost to you.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we need to send you about equipment you already own — for example a safety notice, a recall, or a scheduled service reminder.

6. Who we share it with

We may disclose your personal information to:

We require our service providers to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we engage them for.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent, trade or supply marketing lists to other organisations.

7. Sending information overseas

Some of the providers we use operate or store data on servers outside Australia. Depending on the provider, your information may be stored or accessed in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Singapore or New Zealand.

Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure it is handled in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through the terms on which we engage that provider.

If you would like to know which providers we currently use and where they store information, contact us using the details in section 13 and we will tell you.

8. How we hold and protect it

We hold personal information in electronic systems operated by us or by our service providers, and in some cases in paper records at our Kings Park premises.

We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Those steps include restricting access to staff who need it, using access controls and passwords on our systems, keeping paper records secured, and requiring confidentiality from our providers.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will act in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the scheme requires it.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires. In practice:

10. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything that is wrong, out of date, incomplete or misleading. Contact us using the details in section 13.

We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge you for making a request. If giving you access would involve substantial work we may charge a reasonable amount for our costs, and we will tell you what that will be before we do any chargeable work.

If we refuse access or refuse to correct information, we will tell you in writing why, and how you can complain about that decision.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we have the chance to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint within five business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au, phone 1300 363 992, GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001.

11. This website

This site is a static information site used at our trade stand. It does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, and it does not build a profile of you.

Your browser may store a local copy of the site's pages and images so that it keeps working if the venue's internet connection drops. That copy stays on your own device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Our entry form is hosted by a third-party form provider, and our main website cenquip.com.au is separate from this site. Those services have their own privacy practices, and their own notices apply when you use them.

12. Dealing with us anonymously

You are welcome to talk to us at our stand, take a brochure, and ask questions without giving us your name. We only need your details if you want to enter the competition, ask us to send you something, or place an order.
